We had a very good week of training last week. We lifted on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The lifts were intense and and the guys responded to them well. We were on the mat on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Our practices were short and intense. We worked technique on top each day for a short time. We did short hard drills this week and going live we did a combination of situations and short goes. Saturday and Sunday were both recovery days as the guys need to have their legs under them and feel fresh this coming Saturday. This week, we will continue to get better on top technically, as we do some fine-tuning. Our practices will be short and hard. This morning, we did a little top work, followed by a short hard drill then short live goes. Tomorrow, we will go over some finer points on top and drill hard for about a half hour. Wednesday is an off day. Thursday, we will be back with a short top session followed by short live goes. Friday, we will have a short hard drill and a little live wrestling. Saturday, we will host the CAA Championships, of which I will preview later this week. It will be an exciting tournament and we will host it in the Events Center, which is a change from the originally scheduled West Gym.
